Under The Oaks Summer Camp
At First Presbyterian Day School, our mission is to plant seeds of Christlikeness in the hearts of children while preparing them for future service in God's kingdom. That mission extends to our summer program, Under The Oaks. Under The Oaks is a summer day camp thoughtfully designed to facilitate fun activities and learning experiences for students on campus during eight weeks of summer break. While summer programming is not academically rigorous, we do utilize curriculum for devotion, art, and other activities to ensure students have structured learning opportunities. Completion of all required summer reading is also a component of programming for older grades. We follow a daily rotation schedule that promotes group work while creating space for childlike fun.

We will be closed Friday, July 3rd.
General Information
This program is available to all rising K4 - rising 6th grade students enrolled at FPDS for the following school year. Under The Oaks does not have a limit on how many students may attend. Any student meeting the requirements and registered before the deadline will be able to participate. This program does not apply to Early Childhood students (infant - rising K3).
Students can be dropped off between 7:30-10:30am each day. Students should bring their own lunches, water bottles, and nap mats as needed.
It is expected that every student attending Under the Oaks Summer Camp will follow the FPDS school procedures and standards of behavior outlined in the handbook.
Fees
Under The Oaks is designed with a level of flexibility, as the needs of each student may vary throughout the summer. We offer four different registration options, that can be combined if needed.
Full Camp: $1,800 to attend any days from June 1 - July 24
One Month: $900 to attend any days within EITHER the first 4 consecutive weeks OR the second 4 consecutive weeks
Two Week Drop In: $600 to attend any 2 selected weeks
One Week Drop In: $325 to attend any 1 selected week
The one month option can be combined with either the two week drop in, or the one week drop in option if needed. All drop in weeks must be selected before the start of the program on June 1st. Once Under The Oaks begins on June 1st, refunds and withdraws cannot be processed.
Registration Fee: $50 (February 1 - April 30)
Late Registration Fee: $150 (May 1 - 31)
Registration will close once Under The Oaks begins.
FAQs
What does a typical day look like?Each day students rotate through five main activities; devotion, craft, reading, group game, and special subjects. Students are divided into classroom groups by grade to allow for age appropriate activities. We have snacks, complete activities, and enjoy fellowship over lunch.
How do I pay? Tuition charges will be posted to your student’s FACTS account monthly.
What should my student bring and wear? Students do not have to wear uniforms during Under The Oaks. We encourage all students to wear comfortable clothing they can play and learn in.
How will I receive information? Our Under The Oaks team will be in touch with parents through email as we prepare for, and throughout the summer.
When can I drop off and pick up? Drop off is available for all grades each day between 7:30-10:30am at the school office. Pick up is available anytime until 5:30pm, when we close.
If you have a preschooler, we will communicate rest times so you can be mindful when planning your pick up times.
Can I drop in? Students can drop in for a week at a time as needed. We ask that parents communicate those drop in dates before camp starts so we can plan accordingly.
